thank you
Based on what I was reading in different places late assessment are very unlikely
I was wondering if it is correct by your experience at this forum ?

I remember last year me and another member both sent back review forms around the same date, I waited about 20 weeks and had a paper based and they waited nearly a year and ended with an assessment, we both had the same outcome though! You just can't tell what type of assessment you'll get unfortunately 😔 Good luck xx

Hi
Is been just over 20 weeks and there’s no news
6 till my current award end
What can I read from it
Do I call them or is it going to be paper based decisions
Any help would be appreciated

You either call them or wait for them to contact you.
20 weeks is not really that long to wait.
None of us can tell you whether you will get paper based or not.
You say your award ends in 6 weeks.
If they haven't reached a decision by then they may extend your award until they do.
I'm afraid that none of us here know the answer.

hi all
Firstly Thank you for all the support
In this forum
I called yesterday the pip as my current award is about 3 weeks till it ends
The caller handler said to me there is a letter of an extension was sent to you
I asked where is my file seat at the moment she said is back with us(DWP)
And is with DM
I don’t know what is means for me
How likely is paper based review or how long do I have to wait for the final

That does suggest you have had a paper based assessment.
Unfortunately no one can really advise you on timescales regarding the decision as it varies for everyone.

thank you
Do you suggest to call them again and ask for the report?
Thank you again

Yes, now the DWP have it you can request a copy of the report if you wish.

hi
I received a text I am really confused
You can check my previous chats after they said is with DM
Now send me this yesterday
pls help
We still have your PIP form and will be progressing your review as soon as we can. You may still need an assessment with a health professional. Your PIP will continue to be paid until we review your claim. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.

Hi
They say they sent you an extention letter and now they sent you that message.
That indicates to me they haven't yet made a decision on your claim and they will be in touch with you again in due course.
In the meantime you will continue being paid.

I called them they said is with AP?
And she said is the same as DM

Hi @saj26. I believe AP stands for Assessment Provider, and DM is a Decision Maker. The AP gathers medical evidence and the DM uses the evidence to make a decision.
I've received the same text and they've continued to pay me and I'm just waiting for the decision now.

Thank you
Is it going to be pepper based or do I have to go for an assessment is been 25 weeks so far

It would be best to contact your assessment provider as they should be able to give you more information at this stage than PIP.

I'm not sure. They'll contact you if you need to go for an assessment but fingers crossed you won't.
