Hello everybody I was thinking of plastic flowers this year, what do you all think?
0 -
Not sure what to think, but i bet the insects won't be impressed. 🐝🌺🕷️

Not my cup of tea but it's your garden you do what's right for you there are some realistic ones about now

Hello @michael57
I did think about the bees and how confused they would be, I do have real flowers in also. Mainly to brighten areas up that don't do so well, I thought it might be an option.

even with all our flowers i still put a shallow saucer of sugar water out for the bees they soon learn where the best smells are

I had a lovely wild garden full of blackberries and other hedgerow shrubs , we even had Muntjac deer and loads of wildlife visiting, but then the developers moved in, ripped everything up to build a road to their new house development. Now I have just a view of the women with their council facelifts , and multiple cars. Trying to find inspiration but it's very difficult. Thinking about planting Bamboo :)

I would not think about bamboo unless it is a none evasive type the root system goes a long way and a right devil to get rid of i have seen barriers of bamboo in large pots that looked nice

I did go to the garden centre for the first time this year on the weekend! It was very nice to see all the lovely bright and fresh plants and flowers. I left with an aloe vera plant but hoping to go back soon and pick up some proper flower plants for the garden🌺

For any garden bird feeders RSPB have asked people don't feed the birds between May and October - Our latest guidance on what and when to feed garden birds: Feed Safely, Feed Seasonally
This made me a bit sad because I feed quite a lot of birds, so I'm a bit worried about the effect of not feeding them but I'm sure I'm being silly and they'll be ok.

Aaw I thought the same, I've not looked at your attachment yet but a man from the RSPB was on the news yesterday and said we can still feed them mealworm and/or suet during these months. I'll read the attached though too thanks.

It does say that on there to be fair @Santosha12 so I could pop a little out for them still. I think I'm just over worrying about them as they get through a lot.

You will end up introducing bacteria and viruses in the feeders as the food heats up thus poisoning them with kindness plenty of food in the garden
