Private pension and UC
Hello, my husband was self employed for most of his career but prior to him having his accident he went to work for a company and was PAYE. We have just seen that he has £749 in a work pension scheme .
We want to pull it out as sadly he will never be returning to work again but how will this affect UC? We don’t have any savings and our bank balance never goes near the £6000 mark even with the potential financial addition . Also, would it affect his LCWRA.

Hi @Loumc48, Sorry it's taken a couple of days to get back to you.
As it's a lump sum, this would likely count as savings rather than income. And if you'll still be below the £6,000 limit after the lump sum comes through, this shouldn't affect his payments.
