    Hi,

New Style ESA will be deducted from your UC in full. There isn't any financial gain from being on both, so nothing to be backdated.

    Hi

If you were already on LCWRA and then applied for New Style ESA, did you have to go through a new Work Capability Assessment? Also, how long did it take to get a decision on your ESA claim?”

    Thanks

    Hi,

I have done myself this but for NI credits-only (no payments). I did not have to go through another WCA.

As far as I remember, it only took a few weeks from applying online to getting the decision letter in the post.
