PIP assessment report

in PIP, DLA, ADP & AA

hi I got my pip assessment report 10 points for daily living however they’ve recommended a review in 1 year which I get as I had open heart surgery last year and hopefully will get back to full health but not looking likely has nerves are knackered anyway


if awarded would I get a review straight away?

    Hi,

    The DM may not go with the assessors recommendation. But yes if you do only get a 1 year award, it will only be a few months before you are sent review forms. They are currently being sent out around 8 months before the end due to backlogs.

    so just say if they give me a two

    Year award they would send it out 8 months prior to that?

    Yes. But that time is based on current backlogs so they might change the number of months in future.

    I got my report stating 10 points for daily living been waiting 4 weeks now still haven’t heard anything


    I do speak to a case manager and they said a decision was going to be made last week but phoned yesrdyday and nothing yet surely must be soon

    I asked for my report I didn't realise it would say recommended awards and points. The letter before the interview said to call and ask for the report.

    Does anyone here find having the report make waiting better or worse? I'm feeling anxious now.

    Hi

    The report is an assessors recommendation that the decision maker will either agree with or not.

    Most people feel anxious until they receive a decision.

    The decision letter will inform you of the outcome.

    I haven't had a decision yet, it's been a few days since the report arrived, but I feel anxious about what the report has said and what the decision maker might choose.

    My last GP appointment was last week so I wonder too, if they are taking recent updates into account.

    Hi hopefully you will receive the decision letter soon.

    As the report has already gone to a decision maker, the recent gp update is unlikely to be taken into account.
