PIP review form

Hi @Rachel_Scope there's particular reason for this as ive been driving many years and consider myself very safe. I just wanted to know whether it was common practice for the pip assesors to check whether someone has a valid liscence or whether they check by asking someone. Thank you for replying I appreciate it

It doesn't appear to be common practise @wasp123. If you've been driving safely for many years then there shouldn't be any problem 😊

@Rachel_scope thank you for the reply. I know allot of people fib during a assessment and say that they have no liscene, my anxiety would be through the roof to do this.

@Holly_Scope Hi I wanted share with you and let you know as you kindly mentioned about updating and I’m happy to do so. Since I last updated, I’ve been continuing with Citizens advice helping me complete my PIP review forms and the two week extension I got expires at the end of this week. I am nearly finished my review forms but I felt afraid that I wouldn’t be able to post in time to arrive by next Monday so I’ve called PIP this morning and they have very kindly given me a month’s extension until middle of June. This is a huge surprise to me and I asked them if I would get penalised for such a long extension as I’ve had a two week extension already and she told me I wouldn’t get penalised so I hope everything is okay. I should be able to finish and post this week though. Next week at the latest. It has taken so long to answer all the questions, it is demoralising experience doing these questions and I have used extra paper for every question and I am arriving at Question 12 now which is the last question thankfully. I also have gathered lots of papers from different professionals to send with my review forms. I wanted to let you know and thank you again for being kind and encouraging :)

Thank you for the update.
It sounds like you are doing the all the right things regard to your claim.
Once again, good luck and I hope you get a positive outcome.

@yellowpineapple84 I'm so glad they gave you another extension! That must have been such a relief for you. It sounds like you've gathered a lot of evidence and taken your time to be thorough so fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Thank-you :) I received a text from DWP today acknowledging they have received my PIP review forms. Now I wait in fear

Hi, I would definitely spend the extra if you can and send it tracked/special. 100%.

Thank-you :)
And yep I sent special delivery, it cost over £10 but I didn’t want to mess around. I was worried Royal Mail would lose it in the standard post. I posted Monday and I got the confirmation text Tuesday. I hope I am going to be okay

Even special delivery's not 100% guaranteed to not go walkies.

Oh it made me sad to see you write that you'll now 'wait in fear' @yellowpineapple84. I hope that's not the case and you can enjoy the relief of getting the forms sent off.

Nothing is guaranteed but I have a lot more confidence in special delivery than standard mail. I have worked for Royal Mail. Thankfully I posted with special delivery on Monday and it arrived the next day and I’d encourage anyone going through the PIP Review forms to use special delivery if they are able to. Before I posted the last time I saw Citizens Advice I asked about the success rate of returning the forms in the free envelope DWP give as part of the forms pack and they said that they know it goes missing in the post when they’ve posted other people’s forms for them

@Rachel_Scope Hi, sorry it’s just something I can’t sit comfortably with and can’t take off my mind. If I lose my support I’ll be in a very bad place financially so until I hear positive news each day is going to be lived in fear. It’s bleak inside. Really need this to go my way

I'm sorry to hear that @yellowpineapple84. It's such a stressful process and I wish it didn't affect people so negatively. Have you got some mental health support?

Hi I'm sure I have read it on my pip review letter /form They say to send it by normal postage. But I'm going to send mine special post anyway the thought of it going missing after all the stress and unwanted anxiety it causing me.

Sounds like a good idea @ketokid, hopefully that will help calm your mind a little bit.

@Rachel_Scope Hi thanks for your reply. I do, in some ways, but the financial worry is such a heavy weight on my mind. There’s nothing anyone can do, I feel there’s nothing I can do. Feel very much at the mercy of whoever it is who is going through my forms. Just feel fear, raw fear from the moment I wake up each day and carries over into my sleep

@ketokid I hope you can continue to be supported too. If you can get help from citizens advice to help you complete your review forms that would be helpful, they were very kind with me. If you need more time to complete your review forms you can ask PIP to extend, they gave me extra time when I asked and they won’t penalise you for it. I do think returning with special delivery will be more reliable. If you do that, when you write the address just remove the top line of the address from the free envelope. But maybe call them to check that. I had to remove the top line, I imagine we all post our review forms to the same place but maybe we don’t. Please clarify before you post that you have the right address if not posting with the free envelope

I really hope this can go my way, hope I’m going to be okay
