    @PracticeWotUPreach

    I don't see anyone on this thread trying overtake the forum or shut down the opinion of others.

    I must admit I don't trust any politician. No matter what flavour they are.

    Guaranteed they all leave office a lot richer than they were going in ?

    @WelshBlue I think this is an overlooked insight.

    Anyone voted in is allowed to basically treat being an MP as a side hustle. Meanwhile they can network and make their friends and families richer.

    A system with all representatives people who live in the borough and use the same services and their wealth and the wealth of their friends and families should be scrutinised so they aren't pulling political strings and selling out the people they should be serving. Party system should be abolished.

    @MegaAlone … my comment was a bit tongue in cheek, trying to diffuse a tense thread but you've hit it on the head. It's been going on since time memorial

    QUANGO's spring to mind in modern times, Jobs for The Boys (to use an antiquated term)

    Nothing will change short of a Revolution and I'm too old to start one 😁

    I think they will shed councillors as quickly as they were recruited.

    I hope that Reform are a "flash in the pan" - much like Johnsons Brexit or Starmers new Labour party (remember 12 months ago when he won the election with a massive majority) but that was due to peoples trust (and stupidity).

    Because so much of UKs continued survival depends on immigrants from fruit pickers in Kent to Care Workers in your Grannys care home - none of which would exist if it was not for immigrants who are prepared to wipe your Grannys bum for minimum wage - unlike most UK workers !!

    Then maybe we didn't ought to rely on outside help so much, make the wage more attractive for picking and send people who are not in work to help. It's a job, but it seems beneath us to to pick fruit or veg.

    @WelshBlue it's tough each day let alone starting a revolution. As long as we know what's not good in governance then we are at least agreeable to change if and when it arrives 😁
