I had a fairly good day.
It was lovely visiting my friend.
I'm tired now so I'm turning in for the night.
I hope we all manage to get some sleep.

Good morning everyone. Early start this morning at the vets for 8.45am to have Sam's paw checked after the bite and also for him to have his annual booster injection. All fine now.
Bright and sunny here today so will be a gardening day for me.
Take care.

Amberpearl, I found myself thinking about you last night - random, I know!
Are your windows fixed and has the anti-social behaviour stopped?
Being cold is no fun so here are some practical tips which help me keep warm indoors without having to turn on the heating. My slippers have a thick cork base as I have no carpets; I wear two pairs of socks if my feet are cold plus ankle warmers. I also tuck my leggings into my inner socks - this one thing makes the biggest difference!
Right now, I'm wearing three layers including a vest and later will add more plus a blanket around my legs and feet when I'm on the sofa - that keeps the rest of me warm! In winter, I wear up to 6 layers and a hat if necessary. If you are inactive a lot of the time, you need extra layers and insulation at the extremities which are your head, hands and feet. Washing up in hot water (wearing gloves) is a quick way of warming up.
A heated throw is safer than filling a hot water bottle and costs pennies to recharge. An electric blanket in your bed is a must, also costing pennies to use. It's hard to move an inch when you're stiff from being cold too long so the trick is not to get that cold.

…in freezing weather, my clothes must be warm. I blast the central heating on and heat my clothes on radiators or wrap them around a hot water bottle. My dressing gown is always warm as I sleep with it over my duvet ready to put on in the morning. If I have to leave first thing, I'll have a bra and long-sleeved top in bed with me all night and change under the duvet in the warmth!

Morning all.
Difficult to wake up and get going this morning but I've just about managed it! It's been so chilly the past few days it's hard to get out of bed! Hope you've all got a peaceful day ahead ☺️
