I keep getting rejected on online applications, should I give up?
Above.
I've come to the extremely sad conclusion I'll never work.
I was obviously 50 last month, therefore I'm clearly too old to get a job plus my problems with disablility and neurodivergence.
Thoughts?

never say never, but for the time being, stepping back from employment is the right decision for you, especially given the imminent economic crash.

I have a new personal project, getting a small Automatic car on Motability, in fact I've just spoke to a local company who do a Vauxhall for a small downpayment.
Someone's going to be in touch at some point.

If you won't be driving, why does it have to be automatic? A car with manual transmission is a good deal cheaper.

Good point.
Although a P license and lessons is on my "Bucket list".

Just so long as you aren't tempted to drive it, that would be a bad decision.
I hope you can get lessons, but that would be very expensive, taking lessons and paying £250+ per month to Motability.
My ex wife took lessons in an automatic, and if you aren't going to drive commercially, it isn't a bad idea for you.

I wouldn't be driving commercially, except in the unlikely event I get a job, I'd drive to work and back.

Taking a dump into a carrier bag, on the M6, that soon destroys any romance about commercial driving! The facilities are a disgrace in the UK. Many French laybys on motorways, they have toilets and even showers!🇨🇵

To be fair, we went down to London to Harry Potter World last week, the Motorway services left a bit to be desired.

Well I just got another rejection email.
What the absolute **** is wrong with employers these days?

Hi @SheffieldMan1976 I am sorry you have had another rejection email.
Could I just ask what kind of jobs did you volunteer for and what kind of jobs are you now applying for?
Are they asking for experience you do not have?
Do you have the right qualifications?
Are you applying for full time roles when you are only able to do part time?
Have you updated your CV recently with what you have done in the voluntary sector?
The reason I ask is with NI going up for Employers they are looking for people who best fit the role they have.
Would you be able to go to work yourself or would you need one of the home staff to take you and bring you back?
Please take care of yourself and good luck with your search.

Part time roles in retail.
I've previously worked in Charity shops.

@SheffieldMan1976, have you had help with the applications before? If you're getting rejected before even interviewing, maybe there are some ways to strengthen your applications?

I have customer service and admin experience, granted most of the CS experience is working in Charity shops but it's still serving customers is it not? Also, I am disabled/neurodiverse and was 50 last month, and can only work up to 16 hours per week due to the benefits I'm on (Enhanced rate PIP and UC)

Unfortunately @SheffieldMan1976 in the UK, unemployment has reached its highest level in a decade.
This is attributed to factors such as the increase in employers NI and higher minimum wage.
It is not the best time to be looking for a job.

Yeah except the government keeps saying it's falling dramatically, aye, among non-disabled/neurotypical adults who are under 50.

You don't do yourself any favours, let it go man. Consider it an employer's loss that they failed to employ you; get on with your driving lessons plans, comic con interests, writing your music, martial arts etc. I wish I had a list of pastimes like that! 👍️

Well I must be mad, I've just applied for a part time position at Superdry, even though I know for a fact I'll get another rejection email by Friday.
WHY do I keep doing this to myself?
