My partner had been reviving carers payment Scotland however he’s since closed his claim for it as they said he wasn’t actually entitled to it and he was earning too much so now he’s going to have to pay it back in installments which is fine however that amount every month was getting deducted £ for £ on universal credit which was around £350 or so each month so now I’m wondering if we can ask universal credit to give us that money that was being deducted for the past 5-6 months or so as we now have to pay it back to social security Scotland and we think we should be entitled to it as a back payment.
