'All because the lady loves Milk Tray'. Creepy. As if a man would swim through shark-infested waters etc to break in and leave a silhouette card. Yuk. More like stalking than romance.

I saw a snippet of an old England world cup advert with the German bomber song when the dad is teaching the boy it, then they get in the elevator with a load of German fans and the boy starts to sing it, and he grabs him and shuts him up. I'm not sure that chant would be allowed now

Be lucky if they made the effort to go to the shops let alone swim through shark-infested waters!

Ha ha very true; although happy to rely on myself though if I want chocolates which is a rare delight, I can make one bar last 3 months πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. I've long since needed any grand gestures 🀣. Shark-infested waters indeed, who are they kidding πŸ™„πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚.

It has a real James Bond feel to that advert, doesn't it @Santosha12? Although I'd rather get myself some chocolate than having someone break in to deliver it too. Not that I'd pick Dairy Milk any more, the recipe has been strange for a few years now.

To be fair to the Milk Tray man … whilst a bit creepy, and today he'd end up on a special register, I know where he's coming from

If I buy flowers or chocolates … it's what have you done … not awww fanks

🀣 'he'd end up on a special register' ha ha, @WelshBlue that's true although just not believable that he could swim across water with sharks πŸ™„ he must have done something majorly wrong to go to that extreme, or maybe I just don't need to take it so literally πŸ€” I rarely eat chocolate but it's different for sure @Emilee and smaller, it's like, as well, crisps 28g in a bag ?? I'm sure there used to be more. They say less is more.... no, it is most definitely not πŸ™„πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚.

Now that you mention it I can see what you mean, but for some reason for me these Milk Tray adverts have always had a James Bond feel to them rather than a stalker feel.

I do feel that too, or I did when younger and saw the ads, very James Bond-like really. It's only putting it into 'today's' world that it'd be more freaky if someone did that. Can you imagine if I went out now and came back to a box of chocolates next to my bed that would be well weird. Although if it happened right now I'd be quite glad of a chocolate ha ha. I'd eat some and only then ring the police 😁🀣.

Found in some old equipment and stuff - from the 70s I think. I think a joker made a load as opposed to it being an official advert campaign…they always had a bit of a sick sense of humour!
