Apparently Egypt are currently crying about the game being "rigged"!

was gutted we got knocked out in the first round, Boston will forever be twinned with Glasgow. I can the final being between France and Argentina. It is just a shame that politics has been overshadowing what has been a great World Cup so far. I will be rooting for Norway when they play England π

We got a poor hand, no doubt, but as I say alot, Scotland getting to the WC finals is our goal, getting out the group would just be icing on the cake.
All my life, some pretty tasty footballers have played for Scotland, Dennis Law, Kenny Dalglish, Jimmy Johnstone, Willie Miller, too many to list. For whatever reason, stick them in that blue shirt, and it all falls to pieces!
The fact is, not nearly enough is spent by the SFA on grass roots football, and managers, in fear for their jobs, they just buy foreign journeymen, no time given to bedding in young lads from their academy. This problem is getting worse, and I hope action is taken ere long.

Iβm sad about Japan not being there. They really should have gone after Brazil the way they generally go after everyone else

I was sorry Colombia went out especially on penalties.

Me too @Rag_793. The Scottish have gone down as legends though. What a hit the tartan army were in Boston π

Absolutely correct, some huge names on the list, I would add Andy Goram, Colin Hendry and Ally McCoist to the list as well.
we canβt forget the wee Pocket Battleship - Archie Gemmel

Afternoon all,
After a little break between fixtures, the first game of the quarter finals arrives tonight at 9pm (BST) with France (@wrighty08) v Morocco (@Anhedonia2 and @Tazzi)
Will France continue their advance to a third successive World Cup final or will Morocco pull off a bit of an upset? Will the entirely Argentine match official selection have any bearing on the outcome? π€£
1 -
I am going to be controversial here - or maybe just an idiot! - and predict that Morocco will win this one. Other outcomes are of course availableβ¦. π
Maybe with the help of the Argentinian match officials who knows? π
Happy footie viewing everyone!

To be fair, I feel like they are right - it certainly looked that way and they're not doing any favours in the handling of it
1 -
Let's go Moroccoooo Β πͺ
Argentina won't want to go against France so I wonder if we'll see any interesting decisions π
2 -
Yay! It's back on π€
Surprised the amount of people going for the underdog - love it! I'll go with France tonight. Hopefully it's an entertaining game π
1 -
I don't think Morocco ever really troubled France. Bit disappointing really.
1 -
Okay, I was an idiot. Of course France would win, doh! π I blame the heat....
π
2 -
Ahhh, i thought it was a nice thing to route for the underdog. π
It's Spain vs Belgium tonight. Will anyone be watching? I think Spain will win.
1 -
I think I'll go for Spain to win tonight. I have them as my 'team' anyway, and they have not allowed a goal against them yet this tournament.
So that's a Belgium win thenβ¦. π

That last sentence made me laugh out loud ππ

I also think Spain will win.

Evening all,
In just a few minutes we Spain (@Scooby222 and @ripple) takes on Belgium (@Richard_Scope) at 8pm (BST).
It feels like a France/Spain semi-final has been inevitable from the start, but can Belgium spring a surprise?
1 -
Where do they get this extra time from? it baffles me
