Social worker not visited me in two years??
Ive only had one appointment in two years
This appointment occurred when I was living with my parents
Now I've moved out
Been asking for one home visit since 2025
Ive already complained and social services stick up for her saying she called you (for 10mins!!) every 8 weeks
I already called and called
I think there's always safeguarding concerns
Its either this guy or that guy...
Told a charity this exact problem
Their response was - why don't you raise it again
Honestly it's like I'm talking to a blank wall sometimes xx

I feel you.
I have had some people visit who all told me they not a social worker (either fibbing or social worker is sending the people below). My view is if they cant see the vulnerability, it justifies them not acting on it. Sadly all I can say is keep trying, but I think its harder when no one is advocating on your behalf.

Some people just shouldn't be social workers, especially if they're the kind of people who have the soul of an Amoeba and the imagination of a Pot Noodle.
At the moment, we don't actually have a named social worker, just some duty jobsworth who doesn't know my story beyond what's in my file.

Hi @Girluk55, I'm sorry they haven't visited in so long. I don't think a 10 minute phone call every 8 weeks is really enough!
I know you've said you've complained but I'm wondering if you'd tried contacting the ombudsman .
Can you explain what you mean when you say you think there's always safeguarding concerns please?
