Thanks to everyone who took part in our World Cup 2026 Community Sweepstake. It was probably my favourite sweepstake we've run since I've been with Scope and there was some brilliant football chatter in the World Cup thread.

Everyone should have had their badges awarded based on how their teams performed, but there were a couple of badges that were awarded based on my judgement, so I'm just sharing these here:

Wooden Spoon – for the earliest teams to be eliminated (Awarded to @MandyD1967, @ripley13 and @JanePS)

Underdog Hero – if your team goes further than was reasonably expected (Awarded to @SlowMode)

Heartbreak Award – if your team is knocked out on penalties or by a last minute goal (Awarded to @66Mustang, @cityjacko, @Tony60, @Ainger13, @SlowMode, @Bluebell21, @Rosie_Scope, @elle19, @argh, @Nigel_56, @WelshBlue, @jfc9419 and @Elaine1961)

Tournament Reporter – Sharing updates or thoughts on the tournament as it progresses (Awarded to @yellowpineapple84 and @kreacher)

Fair Play Award – Keeping things friendly and supportive when discussing the World Cup (Awarded to @Scooby222)
