    Ghost Ship is a nice one. Is that a matching beer glass or is it a different brand that just goes well?

    I bought a bottle of WhistlePig 10 last week, but I'm a bit disappointed with it. It wasn't cheap either! I don't drink alcohol now unless the taste really justifies putting the units in my body - so mixing it or just using it up isn't something I'd consider, but I don't know anyone that likes these kinds of whiskeysโ€ฆ if anyone wants it and is relatively nearby I'd be happy to bring it over but I guess offering alcohol on a public disability forum is a bit of a red flag ๐Ÿ˜†

    Hi, 66Mustang, I don't think the glass represents any brand of beer, it just goes well with the Ghost Ship Ale, so I thought it would look good for the photo.

    Murphy's Irish Stout, it's pretty good, kind of smoky.

    I quite like a smoky stout (or any smoky beer to be fair), but have to be in the right mood. I think I'd call it a winter drink myself!!

    I tried O'Hara's recently and enjoyed it.

    I don't think I've ever tried Murphy's. How does it compare to Guinness? I notice it says it's draught; does it have the little widget in the can to help pour it well?

    My Uncle once bought me some Chocolate Stout, it's lovely, kind of a more sweet Guinness.

    Not seen it available anywhere for years though.

    I tried a marshmallow stout a while ago ๐Ÿ˜œ

    It was nice and I had no complaints about it as a taste experience, but it tasted more like a soft drink than a beer. I always think alcohol has to justify its presence: not necessarily by tasting subjectively "better" but by giving me a flavour I couldn't experience without the alcohol being there. I think if I wanted that flavour in future - which was enjoyable - I could find it without buying alcohol. It wasn't low alcohol either, like 7% or something!

    I once tried Bell's Scotch Whisky, even the smell of it gave me a headache, yet for some reason, Dad loves it and I buy him a bottle every year for his birthday (and despite being considerably over 18, the last 3 out of 4 times I've bought Whisky from Tesco, I've got age questioned)

    I'm not drinking now, as I did too much earlier on. My lovely Polish neighbours invited me around for lunch. The first time & it's something I never do, but felt I had to, as they really are great & are always bringing food & treats around for me. I took some gifts & one was a bottle of Soplica raspberry vodka, it was a Polish friend that got me onto it & I know they buy it & have also bought me some. Well, Szymon got out shot glasses & after lunch, he kept pouring, I had to leave, before I couldn't! ๐Ÿ˜† I think there are only about four shots left!! It was a lovely few hours & I'm glad I put my big girl pants on & went. ๐Ÿ’ž

They actually bought me a bottle of watermelon vodka today, as a thank you for looking after their lovely daughter for a couple of days, it has been a pleasure & Hattie my mutt adores her, as she gets loads of play. Sooo..I may just have a wee taster shortly. ๐Ÿฅ‚
