Many people on PIP and the health element of Universal Credit vote Reform, that's the crux of it.

Now politically speaking and I'm not insulting, I think they're going too far and the British public see disability benefits as a safety net, a mixture of compassion with firmness. The firmness is that if one is fit for work that they should look for work and the compassion is that people who legitimately cannot work need support either to recover or to sustain their lives long term.

There's a perception from the Media that disabled people live the life of riley, that it's a copa cabana and we dance and sing with our 4,000 pound TV's and that propaganda is being pushed predominantly on media sources Reform voters see and hear. That isn't an insult, that is a fact and it's a dangerous one.

I'm personally getting tired of the incessant ableist propaganda in British media, I'll go further as it's politically in vogue to by edgy and say I actually loathe these people and I loathe people within that circle who say "we should look after our own", well that's a lie isn't it? So my advice to these twitter Nationalists is delete your Union Jack profile pictures and post the word "hypocrite" on your twitter profile pictures because that's what you are, there's Jellyfish with more spine.

Let's hope they went too far with this in their desperate attempt to distract from their corruption and have woken people to their inate nastiness and reduced their chances of success.

Don't worry - it would probably just be more intrusive form filling - but it won't happen - this Farage thing will die soon - people can't really be THAT stupid can they ?

Reforms are a bogeyman, run by the Labour Party. Who united the disabled and the unemployed in one benefit, I hope you remember?

Please remind me when over the past two hundred years MPs carried out the will of ordinary voters.

I skimmed through it, mostly costing. But this has concern me is how do they define a seriously disabled? . I gather autism has to be severe as well. Having copd and being referred for EDS which effects my whole body. So how do they decide the cut off point.

One of life lessons has been there is constant DWP reform.

No party will let it settle.

If one tries to keep abreast of all proposals, then it increases stress and when its for a party with less than 10 mps, and an election is at least 3 years away, I take it with a pinch of salt. Even more so that reform are so unstable right now, their policies are changing every 5 minutes.
I believe this wont be their policy come the next election, whether it gets toned down or made even more aggressive dont know, but this wont be it.

I watched the speech at Reform last night and fair play to him he has some good ideas but perhaps PIP does need some type of reform. I had a face to face assessment in my home by a medical trained person, I was almost frozen, I found it so terrifying to answer questions I peed myself, good thing My husband was there too. But I got through it and got my pip award. It feels like going through hell to just get help for a problem I never made. My body let me down after years of working hard, full time. PIP does what it's supposed to do and helped me. If it has been awarded by being properly assessed, surely a government can't take it away from anyone? What it needs is a better way of assessing people and once done maybe the light touch for more of those with obvious long term needs. I dread the next contact from PIP. Why do politicians always target the old and the infirm.
