How is your day going?

Yeah, itβs A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. Itβs about a grumpy old guy whoβs very set in his ways, but thereβs actually quite a bit of humour and heart to it. Iβm enjoying it more than I expected to, to be honest π

Morrisons came 20 mins ago. Taken me ages to put stuff away and my Freezer is rammed to the top now lol.

My delivery finally arrived about an hour and half ago.
Just waiting for one of the staff to bring the little camera I got last week.

I have a 500 litre chest freezer, but it's all for Gus' raw dog food. I store my frozen vegan meals in a freezer less than 1/5 the size. π

Been a busy day today, had to reinstall the vertical blind in the hallway alongside hanging the lampshades back up. Only issue with anything above my head is my shoulders scream blue murder at me!
Managed to have a wash, shave and cut my hair.
Put some washing in the the washer
Done some hoovering and put my walker back near my front door.
I plucked up the courage to sit outside in my new rocking chair with a magazine and a coffee. Spent some time chatting to neighbours too. One of my neighbours has a little Shih Tzu, which I had a cuddle with, made me reconsider getting a cat and go back to original plan of a dog π€¨

I haven't heard of that book @prestencollin but it sounds very intriguing. I do enjoy when a book has some humour to it π Have you read that authors work before?
It's always very satisfying having a stocked freezer/fridge @Johnboy412000, looks like you've got a great selection of food too!
Looking forward for your review @SheffieldMan1976π
Sounds like a productive day @Rag_793! Aw shih tzu's are so cute, when are you thinking of getting a little companion?
We used to keep Snowys raw food in the bottom shelf of the freezer back when he used to have Butternut Box a few years ago @ChrisR777. Surprising how much room it takes up!0 -
I'll be taking some photos at York Comic Con on Sunday.
Hopefully I can get that little camera working.

Also, as of an email just now, I'm getting a second package delivered in a bit, from Vinted (following a recommendation on here last week)

I will hopefully find the perfect pooch or cat once I have had my flat decorated. The hall and stairs were done with Magnolia last week, although the gloss work is a minefield π€¨
Because I have Asthma & Long Covid, the old bagpipes are not what they used to be. The problem with the gloss is it is oil based and give off high levels of fumes that can trigger a bad Asthma attack. All windows and door would have to be open, but then the fumes would last for over two weeks.
All of the areas that need glossing would need to be sanded back, then a water based low voc primer painted on, after that a low voc gloss would then have to be applied.

Good morning everyone. Cloudy start and cool at just 13c. I am going volunteering with the S2R group (Support to Recovery) at a Library garden just outside Huddersfield. it runs from 11am to 12:45pm and afterwards I've thought about having dinner at the nearby Mother Hubbards. See if its as good as people say. Hope you all have a nice day and take care.

That's something I've not tried. I usually buy from Ebay or Temu.

Thanks Mary yeah I'm spoilt for choice for meals now lol.

Not sure what size mine is Litre wise. But the annoying thing is there's like a step in the bottom which makes it a bit smaller. That's roughly it. I could get more in if I removed the Basket I suppose. Have thought about it but I managed to get everything in yesterday. Trouble is I may have to remove the basket to get at stuff underneath so maybe tomorrow that will be my task and make life a bit easier lol.

@Mary_Scope You talk about me enough now. Tell me, what type of books do you like to read? Fiction, adventure, thriller, mystery or crime? Or are you more into educational or non-fiction books?

Well I was up just after 8, got dressed and went for breakfast and 2 coffees to wake me up, then I came and played WWE 2K26 on Xbox, banger Women's match on Nitro, Belle Goldberg versus Lady Sting for the WCW Classic Women's Championship, Goldberg defending.
Goldberg wins clean.
