Yes, I have all of my medical records dating back to 1989 !

I’ll will win because IIDB isn’t about opinions — it’s about evidence. My medical records, work history, and the way the injury happened all line up with what the IIDB rules require. The condition matches the job, and the paperwork proves it.

My diagnosis and the long‑term impact are already backed up by proper medical documentation. IIDB decisions rely on what’s written, not what random people “believe”.

On top of that, the first decision was made without all the evidence. Once the tribunal sees the full set of records, the mistakes get corrected and the outcome becomes obvious.

This isn’t about convincing anyone — the evidence meets the legal test, and that’s why the case will succeed.

Even if someone wants to claim I’d been drinking, alcohol does not cause the injury I have. Bilateral lesions of the basal ganglia are a known result of toxic or metabolic injury, including disulfiram reactions, respiratory acidosis, and oxygen deprivation — all of which match my medical history. Alcohol alone does not produce symmetrical pallidal necrosis. The pattern of damage is specific, and my scans match that pattern exactly.

My records show the real cause: a work‑related exposure that triggered a toxic/metabolic collapse. That’s what led to the basal ganglia injury — not alcohol, not lifestyle, not speculation. IIDB looks at causation, and the medical evidence already links the injury to the job.

I now have evidence that I had stopped drinking alcohol at least 5 days prior to the first accident (25th May 1990) - but the residual effects of Antabuse remained for several weeks.

The Antabuse was not even carefully prescribed to me - it was given to me in one pack which was left for "drinking buddies" to check that I was correctly taking !

The fall happened at home, yes — but IIDB doesn’t care where you physically collapsed. It cares what caused the collapse. In my case, the cause came directly from my work environment (An mandatory RN alcohol awareness course) and what I was exposed to there. That’s why the claim qualifies.

Then there's the fact that MOD/RN failed to forward my medical records on to NHS so the hospital staff were totally unaware of the Antabuse and treated me as if the issue was purely alcohol - I almost died several times….. My bloods and gases showed that I was a dead man.

So even if someone tries to drag alcohol into it, it doesn’t change the medical facts or the legal test. The injury came from the job, the evidence proves it, and that’s why I’m entitled to compensation.

I don't think that I would - no win no fee - tends to mean that the successful claimant is saddled with huge expenses that eat up a large portion of any winnings !

I have another part of my claim - extremely complex - but is basically based on my former employer underpaying me for retirement lump sum and "ill health" pension payments since 2009 - I have emailed the cabinet office as well as my former pension admin people - who are currently looking into it - but appear to be taking forever to make a decision……. it could be worth a lot of money.
