Stress about getting a carer
I’m really stressed as I start uni in a few weeks (I’ll be commuting from home) and I have to get a carer to come into the university so I can use the toilet. But it’s so stressful as I have to find a carer that’s available at lunchtime and one who I feel comfortable around and I can’t really find one. It’s another thing that makes me envious of able bodied people as they don’t have to worry and be stressed about things like this.

Hi @owlelectric, that does sound stressful. Sorry to hear you're having trouble finding someone you feel comfortable with. It's always upsetting when you're confronted with moments where life would be much easier if you weren't disabled. I don't think a lot of able-bodied people would be able to understand how difficult it can be.

I haven’t started yet, I’ll start lectures on the 29th. I have started looking but it’s so hard because I have to find someone who is free on those days and times, someone who I feel comfortable with and someone I get on with
