    Getting Enhanced Mobility PIP isn't enough to automatically qualify you might still need to be assessed, see information here:

    It's about getting points for specific descriptors, not the total number of points overall.

    You're definitely covered then. But as both Kimi & I have said, it's not just about the number of points. They have to be scored for specific descriptors. It is entirely possible to score 16 points for Mobility and still not be entitled to an automatic Blue Badge.

    Would these people just be visiting or living over here @egiste2r? There is no visitor blue badge scheme that I'm aware of, unfortunately. If they have a disabled parking badge from the EU, these are often accepted. And some councils will also accept disability parking badges from other countries, but you might need to contact them in advance to ask.

    If they're visiting specific venues, I'd imagine most places could be flexible if you needed to use the accessible parking spaces. But it might be trickier in public parking situations, so it's worth checking with the local authority and keeping some proof of disability with them if they have it.

    I thought so – there are no agreements at the country level that would provide free parking for disabled people in other countries, the only hope is mercy. This is very sad.

    If you mean whether a disabled visitor from another country can use their home-country disabled parking badge in the UK, the answer depends on where the badge was issued.

    EU-issued disability parking cards: UK government guidance says the UK has informal reciprocal arrangements with EU countries, so these are generally accepted.

    Badges from countries outside the EU: there is no formal UK-wide reciprocal arrangement. Recognition is at the discretion of the relevant local authority/police, so you should contact the council in the area you are visiting before relying on the badge.

    In England, where an overseas badge is accepted, the normal Blue Badge concessions can include parking on single/double yellow lines for up to 3 hours (subject to loading restrictions), and free parking in some on-street paid bays. Local signs and restrictions still apply.

    Off-street car parks—such as supermarkets, hospitals and private car parks—have their own rules, and a disabled badge does not automatically mean parking is free.

    You cannot normally apply for a UK Blue Badge simply because you are visiting from abroad; the application requires UK residence-related evidence such as proof of address.
