Ooh I like that @WhatThe. I bet it's really relaxing watching the tea infuse. My question though is would you drink a cold drink out of it as it's glass? 😉

That's amazing @Epistle_Rich! Are you a fan of novelty mugs? I have quite a few.

Oh no @Rachel_Scope - the instructions are very clear about this; not recommended for cold drinks 😉

It served me well this week. Had a contractor in the kitchen and had to scarper so I made tea in my biggest mug plus this little tea glass and it remained hot, hot hot until I had finished the first one!

@egiste2r and @WhatThe I just bought a very light glass mug from IKEA on Thursday and love it! It certainly does keep the coffee super hot for a long time. And it's sooooo pretty!!! And I love the big handle.

Here's another mug I have with a lid (from another mug that broke). If you like lids but don't have one, you can just use a little plate, such as one for fancy tea.

@Rachel_Scope what kinds of decorations do you have for your Halloween party? I'm thinking stickers to put on the windows and mirrors. Easy to decorate and easy to undecorate. I haven't had a party at my house since moving in here 4 years ago because it's so tiny, but with a change of furniture it can accommodate up to 8 people now - I hope!

Ooh I like that Ikea mug @StarryEyed! Your cat mug is very cheeky 😆

We have a giant spider and web to go outside. I made some halloween lego flowers and vase and some ghost and pumpkin bunting. We have some black candles and then some 'floating' candles that we'll hang from the ceiling. There's a wall of spider webbing and a giant paper spider to go on our living room ceiling. I've also got 2 light up ghosts that will go in the window. I love Halloween!! Are you going to have a party?

Yes, @Rachel_Scope, I'm having a Halloween party. Your decorations sound crazy awesome!! Are you going to dress up? Costumes are mandatory at my party. I'm not sure of my costume yet. Are you going to dress up your baby? 😁

That's so exciting @StarryEyed! We're dressing up as the Addams family. My daughter is almost 2 and she'll be a little Wednesday. I just need to make some wool plaits! My friend is also coming over and we have secretly ordered matching Cousin Itt costumes. We can't wait to see my husband's face 😂 Underneath all the hair I'll be dressed as Morticia.

Here are a couple more of my Halloween mugs. Do you have any?

Omg those are the cutest Halloween mugs ever! I don't have any. Please mail me yours. 😁 What a fantastic plan for your celebration. Omg that's so very awesome. You're really going all out. What great fun!!

I probably do have too many but I'm too attached to them 😂 You should treat yourself to one, or two.

Seriously. I don't understand at all why you need large (about 400ml) mugs at home or in the office. Lifting such a mug is like doing weightlifting! Does a cookie have to weigh a pound for harmony too? In my opinion, unbreakable steel or titanium mugs are appropriate only on a hike or something similar, at a construction site... Hot tea or coffee can be added from a kettle, coffee pot, coffee machine, thermos finally!

My husband bought me a big flask and I can't fill it to the top as it's too heavy @egiste2r so I see what you're saying! It is good for keeping my water nice and cold though.

Here's today's mug. I painted this myself at a paint a pot shop! Has anyone else painted their own mug?

Here's another one of my faves, complete with a top and filter...

Oh that's a sweet mug @StarryEyed. Mugs with lids are more common than I thought!

Oh wow @egiste2r, no I didn't know these were a thing! The top one is very fancy. I think I'd feel pressured to drink way too much tea with one of these.

Ok that makes having tea a proper event 😂

You can drink green tea according to the Chinese tradition - along with any dish, brewing green tea many times in one teapot.

I ordered some personalised mugs online

I ordered one for my sister-in-law who is my fiancé's twin sister, one for my mum, one for myself and one for my fiancé.

My mum's put hers in a display cabinet and mine and my fiancé's are downstairs waiting to be put away.
