Do they all match @BrianMcFaddenfan24? I'm getting to the point of having too many mugs and may need to start displaying them like your mum!
That's a lovely cosy mug @Rag_793. Do you remember where you got it from?

Oh what a delightful thread! :-) Here is my ghost mug

Yay for ghost mugs @Amaleihna! Yours is very cute. What's your drink of choice? Here's another one of mine. I've already posted 2 others π

I have multiple halloween mugs as it's my favourite holiday @Amaleihna. The first mug posted on here is my witches mug with a hat for a lid! Are you a fan of novelty mugs like me?
1 -
Yes I am! I have many novelty mugs. I will take a photo of my collection once I am home. In the interim, please enjoy this particular cat mug :-)

Ooh I can't wait to see them @Amaleihna! I love this mug, I have many days like this π

What fabulous Halloween mugs! ππΌπ€£π€£
Here's what I mean by using a little plate as a lid....

@StarryEyed @egiste2r lightweight and the right colour for coffee! The handle looks green and I'd like one.
My jumbo glass is wafer thin and the tea tastes divine βΊοΈ (when I dare to use it)

The plate is a genius idea @StarryEyed! It's beautiful too.
Today I've gone for a cat mug. I have many of them π What are you drinking out of today?

Hi @WhatThe π My glass mug is crazy lightweight too. Just weighed it and it's only 152 g for a volume of 365 mL. Coffee is extra delicious in mine too. I don't know why but I'm not complaining. I love the colours too. And, yes, the handle is a lovely dark green. Christmas green in fact. ππ
Thank you @Rachel_Scope for your plate compliment. It's actually vintage from England that I inherited from a friend in Canada when she passed. Here is the set from her. They're not in perfect condition, but I love them anyway. The pics aren't the best, but I'm too tired to get a better shot. π«£

They're beautiful @StarryEyed. I'm sorry that your friend passed. What a lovely thing for them to leave you.
On the complete other end of the beautiful homewares scale, today I have my Sports Direct mug. It's absolutely massive! Do any of you have one? I feel like it's a staple in a lot of UK homes π

Love that mug @Rachel_Scope ! How many mL does it hold? It looks gigantic. Or maybe it's just the angle?

I got my measuring jug out just for you @StarryEyed and it holds half a litre/1 pint! We sometimes use it for gravy if there's a few of us π

Gee shucks Rachel πππ That's the size of my pink tree mug already posted and this one.....

Love that mug @StarryEyed! It looks like the perfect shape and size for a peppermint teaπ

Exactly @Mary_Scope that's what I use these two big mugs for - teas. I make medium mugs of tea too. Actually, I'm going to make one of my half-litre faves now - 2 bags of 100% ginger plus two bags of camomile with anise. It's a beautiful concoction for the whole GI tract.

Ooh that sounds lovely @StarryEyed! I could drink a nice mug of ginger tea right now, sounds very warming.
I went to Amsterdam in 2019 and they used actual ginger root and lemon and mint leaves in their herbal teas! I think about doing that instead of using teabags sometimesπ
Have you ever tried that?0 -
Hi @Mary_Scope. My preference for ginger in teas is actually the tea bags. I let it steep for 20 minutes so it's good and strong. I use ginger in all its forms - dried in tea bags, dehydrated, dehydrated & sweetened, fresh and powdered. It's a fabulous food for the GI tract.
Mint is tricky because it's also fabulous for the GI tract except for a hiatus hernia because it relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter, so if you have a hiatal hernia (like I do), it has to be used in moderation. Lemon is something I almost always stay away from (like all citrus fruits) because lemon is also not good for a hernia. But right now my hernia is in remission, so last night for the first time I had a tea combining mint tea and ginger tea, and it was absolutely delicious. I just had another one now too. Thank you for the suggestion. What a nice way to think of you. Cheers!
