i am just starting my appeal for esa as to there examer I’m fit for work which I’m not but if I sign on to UC I have to actively look for work , I do get pip so if I didn’t claim UC and just lived on my pip would my council look at this as my only income and work out my rebate from that.

Hi @gwennie_15, and welcome to the community!
I hope we can help you with this. Have you tried the online benefits calculator? You put in your circumstances and it tells you what you may be entitled to, so it can be a good place to start.
You might also want to read our advice on appealing a DWP decision ahead of your ESA appeal. Best of luck with this, and do keep us updated!0 -
I don’t know what that means I’m sorry this is all new to me .1

After 8 long months and just 2 weeks to my Tribunal date uc sent out a letter saying they had looked at my appeal again from January and have now decided that after all this I am entitled to esa on the support group !!
i had Great help from the citizens advice bureau who acted on my behalf and was coming to the appeal with me, don’t EVER give up your fight as hard and as scary as it is.0
