most posts re pip assessments say collect evidence  of illness  which i did   yet then i get comment that  we concentrate on illness and basically evidence which is worthless indeed stated amazed at people who concentrate on illness instead of evidence instead saying what points they should have had PLEASE PLEASE which is it give evidence or concentrate on points  but remember yo need acesmant first you canot tell them how to score you-you can only try to tell them after i cant find the post now were i seem to be wrong and poster cant se he can do any more for me

PIP is a functional assessment. Evidence of illness or disability is usefull to show the reasons why you have functional problems but cannot show the problems you have. Each claimant is different even with the same or similar conditions functionality will vary. You aim when making a claim is to show that you meet  the various descriptors so understanding the points system, descriptors and criteria for an award is vital.

hello and welcome, have you tried the self test pip on this site or on the work and benefits site by doing either you will see as a rough guide how you may fair in a pip acessment. Having upto date medical evidence of you medical condition and treatment and how it effects your daily living and mobility is a good start. The main thing is filling in the form as what you put down in the pip form will be questioned at your acessment and you will have to give justification to the answers you wrote in your form as to why you can or cannot do the activities to a reasonable and repeatable standard in a certain amount of time to score points the same goes for the mobility part of the acessment, I hope this information has been of some help to you it blunt ant to the point better to be up front than give you false hope.

ohh sory wilko yes i have used both places to see points award  both times only honestly putting true facts both come up advanced 45points total  yet scored 11 and after the last one only due to threat court action to the person who signed the  refusal

For my own claim I submitted no medical evidence. Explain as concisely as possible how your funtionality is affected, don't waffle on. If you  do supply evidence make sure it is relevant if you want them to read it, more is not always better. Do  not rely on DWP or AP  contacting any GP or specialist.

It is likely that you will have better success at an independant tribunal appeal than with any reconsideration.
