Choking and swallowing difficulties

My mother is 100 and has difficulty swallowing. The she chokes and coughs up her food and a lot of clear mucus. Any suggestions as to organisations in the Kent area?

Have you seen your mum's GP about this? If not, that would be a good place to start as they may be able to refer or point you in the direction of appropriate services.
Some speech and language therapists specialise in choking and swallowing, as well as communication issues- I found this list of services and contacts in Kent which may be worth looking into, as well. Hope this helps! -
hi Gardner Crawley I am 43 and have disabilities due to a brain tumour medulloblastoma two years ago since the ops I've had swallowing problems and on a peg feed now but eat small bits of food o normally see speech and language lady for that you could see where they are in your area best wishes
