After almost a year of waiting my appeal was heard last Thursday and after being given 0 points by DWP i won my appeal and was given 23 points.
i will be getting standard daily living and enhanced mobility and back dated to April 2017.
i suffer from epilepsy so its been very stressful and a couple of times i though why go on with it and i knew DWP would want me to do that but i did not and now glad i stuck with it.
judge said he did not agree with the reasons DWP gave and said there is no time limit on it(whatever that means)
now will see how long it takes DWP to pay the backpay and hooe its not to long.

Hi macc
Usually the DWP put a tribunal award into payment 5-8 weeks.
It is a good idea to ring and make sure they have received a copy of the decision

Very well done macc2018, your perseverance to see it through to the end paid off, you got what you rightly deserved.

What are the chances that DWP will try to appeal it?
-
I thought the judges decision was final I'm no expert but didn't think dwp could appeal it anyway well done on winning your appeal and sticking with it I'm still waiting on my appeal and I no what you've been going through so I'm very pleased for you must be a big weight off .

The DWP can and do ask for a Statement of Reason. They use this to try and find an error in law which would mean they can appeal to the UTT for a setaside

The DWP only ask for SORs in a minority of cases and, when they do, rarely do they appeal to a UTT.
