I been waiting 17 month for my appeal witch I won last month 21/3/2018
I still haven't heard from the dwp rung them last week and they said I should of head by this week but iv had nothing
Do you think I will get my 17 month back pay
Or would they only pay me from the date of my appeal

Hi Sarah and welcome
Yes you will get back pay from the start
If it was a new claim from when you claimed
if it was a review or a change from DLA, to when your claim stopped

Yes I was on DLA for 21 year then on the 21/9/16 they put me on pip and I lost so I I appealed again they decision it took the court 17 month for me to go there and I won on the 21/2/18
So am just waiting for letter from them know and see how much they going to pay me

It usually takes 5-8 weeks for DWP to put a tribunal award into payment.
Large amounts generally need to be checked and signed off by a senior DM/manager
