    Hi @mollymitz
Do you see anyone from a specialist pain team? Are you getting any treatment?

Hi molly you need to see ur GP and if you can afford it you should go for a private MRI Scan because i waited 2 years for one on the NHS  and by that time the damage to my spinal cord was done which means im gona have this pain for life and so will you. Good Luck

Hi. I also have spinal stenosis, tend to have a period type pain permanently in my back, buttocks, hips, and both legs are affected now. Walking/moving about isn't great but i can still manage it in very short bursts.

The only thing that stops my pain is not moving, this isn't ideal but it helps a lot as no painkillers do anything any more. I discovered the not moving thing helped because i was struggling to move and so gave up trying.

Sorry to hear this, @mollymitz. I have chronic back pain too. I really would try to get referred to a pain management programme at a pain clinic. They're variable in quality, but the good ones (like mine) are really helpful. Hasn't reduced my pain, but I deal with much better now.

Ive had this quite a few years now, wont do surgery unless  can go to Loo etc so have to live on daily meds 3 times daily plus the Patches etc. Not ideal but i try to make the best off it every day.

I have chronic pain ie bulging disc ,degenerating discs ,degenerating in neck ,arthritis in spine & knees & Fibromyalgia they can't operate as I could end up in a wheelchair so live on a cocktail of tablets & patches Ive been referred to the pain clinic 15 months ago & with a bit of luck I  should get seen in 2 months .

Hi all, I’ve had low back pain for over 20 years now, but the last few weeks it’s turned to chronic pain whenever I stand, walk, pins needles numbness in legs, I’m off sick from work, now contemplating life without work, depressive thoughts going through my mind.
So well done cerebral palsy you win .

Welcome to the community, @kirsty76! So sorry to hear about your pain- at the very least, I hope you find comfort in being able to talk with others who understand and can relate.
