HAHA!! my name ain't Bluto its Andy but somebody else had the Andy handle but hey, Bluto is kool ,its wot i was nicknamed as a teen, if anyone ever seen popeye they will know who Bluto is and my pals reckoned he was me dad... anyhow that was years back I'm bald now half my previous size and registered disabled.
Which is why I joined this forum/Community.
2 years back,,
I was as fit as F--k ran my own construction comp life was ace, 2 years and multiple ops later my consultants calling me an enigma!!! I have gone from being financially independent all my life,, paying my dues to the state etc , to being a ward of the state, I ain't no Rockerfella by a long shot but earned enough to give me and my Fam a half decent lifestyle,,, bills always paid maybe 2 hols a year and a 4x4 whoopee f---in doo.
But since my body started letting me down,,,,  and my consultant told me i cannot carry on doing what i do, or i will end up like Christopher Reeves, i had to stop work!
Since this,, before the state, that I have paid in to, considered  helping me out i had to use all my savings, sell my rental prop, and only when I'm 13000 in my overdraft did they offer me any financial assistance .
im so demoralised and confused , nothing is made easy you have to fight as though your a wrongly accused criminal for a few bloody quid,, and when my PIP was refused and I read the report , written by an unqualified person who did not even recognise, understand , or had even heard  of my condition ,, I was devastated, even more, to see the blatant lyes and contradictions she had written . anyhow I think ya get me drift and I believe it takes numbers and loud voices to change things , so for what its worth add me tya gang . :)
kindest regards to all Andy/ Bluto

    Hello Andy @Bluto, from someone who is more like J Wellington Wimpy (if you remember him :smile:) and a warm welcome to the community. Glad to have you with us, though sorry to hear you've been having such a tough time. If it helps, at all, you are not on your own in this. Ghastly stories of assessments occur every day or two.
    It sounds like you could do with some advice from our benefits specialists, and I've no doubt they will be in touch as soon as possible. In the meantime, you might like to have a look at the 'Talk about PIP/DLA' thread, and especially at the item in there about 'frequently asked questions'. There is a lot of useful advice in there.
    Bear with us for now and let's see what we can do.
    Don't hesitate, though, to ask us any questions.
    Warmest best wishes,
    @JennysDad
