Hi @chiz, your torment sounds horrendous, I do hope you find a measure of relief from wherever but just maybe the fact that you're in touch with many people here who 1. Believe you, 2. Recognise what you talk of, with a few that may well suffer similarly and 3. Might find it easier now to choose direction for assistance.
With my best wishes, I hope success comes quick for you.

    Hi there.
Firstly I am so sorry to read your story, and constant pain must be horrendous. Let's hope they can arrange a home visit under the circumstances, sure another member may be able to advise you on that one! Seems ridiculous putting you through so much ( as many members) for a face to face assessment, when you constantly struggle!

I am relatively new here too. ? Awaiting a F2F assessment also.

I sent my PIP off ages ago, they then sent me a letter saying I had four days until cut off to send forms back, and they hadn't received it!

Luckily I had sent tracked and signed, so advised them as to date and name received their end.

They then said they would open an Investigation with her manager, and would send me a new PIP pack incase! But to ring them I case before I refilled everything out! 22 days my 1 at application was there somewhere, and the day my new forms arrived, I received a text saying:

     "
Thanks for sending us your 'How your disability affects you' form. We may need you to attend a consultation with a health professional before we make our decision. We'll contact you again if we do. Please call us if any of the details you gave us have changed."

They received my  application and signed for it on 19/06/18! But dated they started processing  it on 6/8/18!

    Still nothing.

I very much hope you get some joy soon, and they sort this out for you, sounds an absolute nightmare. So many horrendous stories from the community.

    Good luck! P X

There's no timescales to assessment waiting times, it all depends on backlog in your area. Good luck.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

    Hi,
Having a home assessment doesn't mean anything other than they agreed to do a home assessment. Try to answer those questions with as much information as possible. Have someone with you if you can, you'll have to answer all the questions but it will help knowing someone is there. Good luck.

I've never had a bad assessment report and have always been assessed by ATOS. Don't read too much on the internet because you'll mostly only every read that bad stories. People have decision they're happy with and dont have any questions to ask, therefore we don't hear their stories.

As I have said before, you were one of the lucky ones.
There are many claimants that are awarded without the need for a MR or appeal and they accept it only because they believe that if they challenge it they could lose everything.
So getting an award first time around could mean nothing if the award or the length of it is not right.
