ESA support group pip

I have been in the ESA support group and have been awarded pip. I've had a text message saying they need to talk to me about my ESA Can l ask will they stop my ESA or reduce my ESA? lm totally over whelmed with the benefit system its so confusing.

Your PIP award is not affected by your ESA award, your ESA maybe looked at to incrrase your amount.

They may have decided you are eligible for extra premiums on your esa as you have now been awarded pip.I would ring them and find out.

Because you have been awarded PIP it triggers a review of your ESA at the DWP, which means you are probably entitled to an extra component for severe disablement. Basically more money. Don't panic - the benefit system is designed to be confusing, it's a deterrent. Those people who fall by the wayside because they can't cope with it end up dead - that's just what they want unfortunately.
