Hi, my mum has just been awarded PIP. She is unsure whether or not will receive free dental and eye care with this. She lives in Scotland. Could somebody shed some light on this for her please? Thanks.

Hi sophia,
The following link will take you to the NHS Business Services Authority and explains in more detail the help available with health costs in England, Wales and Scotland. http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/792.aspx
I hope this helps

Hi @leanne1972,
Although having PIP doesn't give you automatic entitlement to help with the things you've mentioned above it's worth looking at all the other options such as the NHS Low Income Scheme to see if you can access help this way. There's more information via the NHS Choices website on ways you can qualify for help with NHS health costs.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes
Debbie
