Whereabouts are you based? There may be different groups that I can look into for you.

Hi @Kathryn01, thank you for coming to the community about this. I am sorry you are feeling isolated. Do you have any hobbies? We have the coffee lounge where people discuss all sorts of different things that you may find helpful

I have friends and s wonderful husband but a lot of my friends are working and have own lives and families to see to I know I sound like someone who Is a drama queen I was used to working and having a full life it's the doing nothing that I can't standardise I live in Atherton Manchester1

You are perfectly normal @Kathryn01 . Most of us feel / have felt this way. Socialising with an accepting group with similar experiences is something most of us would want.As @Chloe_Scope said, perhaps a hobby, volunteering or special interest group would be a place to start. Obviously it has to be something that you are physically capable of.1

Thanks guys I would love to help out if there was something I could do1

Hi @Kathryn01, lovely to meet you!
There appear to be a few opportunities near you which you can see on this search- if you like the look of any, it might be worth contacting the organiser and discussing your needs, to see if there's anything suitable. Do let us know how you get on and in the meantime, there are always lots of people up for a chat here on the community!3 -

I am also in the same boat. Suddenly had to stop work, lost that social circle and struggling with everyone seeming to be going forward in life while i just sort of stopped! I am also in Manchester (well prestwich) if you find anything i would be up for joining or if you fancy going for a brew and a vent about these crappy situations give me a shout ?1 -
