im hoping you can help me
i am starting soon as a live in carer for a lady with cerebral palsy and need as much info and advice as possible!

Thanks for your post and I will do my best to help.
Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects muscle control and movement. It's usually caused by an injury to the brain before, during or after birth. Children with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy may have difficulties in controlling muscles and movements as they grow and develop.
Cerebral Palsy does not affect everybody in the same way.

i just need some general info as the person I’m going to care for is in her late 30’s
just some ideas and what to look out for health wise etc
i want to be prepared and give the best care i can

The level of care and support you will need to provide will depend on the type an severity of the Cerebral Palsy.
