    Hi @wizzwoz
Welcome to the community! If you ask your doctor/consultant to write a letter stating you require a home assessment as you cannot travel due to the severity of pain caused by your condition, then send this letter to ATOS or Capita ASAP.

Preparing for your assessment, it's helpful to have letters from your doctors/specialists/etc or medical reports. As much as the assessment is about you, it's not just how your conditions affect you but they focus on how it affects daily activities and mobility.

    Hope this helps :)

    It's worth a try. I'm unsure about a district nurse, @Username_removed @poppy123456 any suggestions?

    Hi,

7 weeks really isn't long, some are waiting much longer than this. It really depends on backlog in your area. Most people have face 2 face assessments, if a home assessment is needed then you'll need a letter from your GP stating the reasons why you can't attend one of their assessment centres. They won't accept a letter from your district nurse for a home assessment request. A letter of support for evidence can be used from your district nurse, if she agrees to write it for you.

During your assessment if you have any extra evidence to give don't be surprised if they refuse to take it off you. This has happened to many people, myself included. Did you send any evidence when you returned the form?
