How do you distract yourself?

I have read that distracting yourself from pain is one way to deal with it. I wonder what people do to distract themselves? For myself, I concentrate on my cats and just go outside and look at the earth and trees and the miracle that plants work, growing and giving us food. I also get lost in a film or a book.

Hi @cracker
I find music and a nice hot bath helps me the most. I have to confess though I do love trees too.

I have only a shower, but I would love a good long bath in Epsom Salts. As for threes, there is something magical about them. I feel the same way about my garden, the sea, sky, earth, wind and all the creatures who live on our planet. (Sometimes, human beings come in last).

I distract myself by singing in my head or doing all the housework xx

I find music always helps to relax me enough to put the pain to the back of my mind. I think have hobbies and interests help too, having something to look forward to so I always try to find new skills to learn.Tina(Ankyie Spon)
