I currently live at home with my parents who claim income related ESA and was wandering if the income I earn would class as household income

Hi,Your income has nothing to do with their ESA claim and won't affect it in anyway. If they claim housing benefit then non dependent deductions will apply, unless they claim a disability benefit like PIP or DLA.

Would the amount that I pay towards the non dependent deductions for rent, the council tax I pay, the water bill or the food shopping bill for us all be classed as their income. Or is it not counted as I do not give them the money directly but I pay the separate companies.0

If you receive benefits then it's not income, it's benefits. Paying bills and shopping isn't income either.Income a non dependent receives is what they would be paid from working their self. This won't be counted when claiming Income related ESA/JSA, Income support or Universal credit.0

Thanks for that I just wanted to know if me paying bills that are in my parents name would be classed as my parents receiving an income from me.0
