I need guidance about assessor and DLA

My husband had indefinite high rate DLA for care and mobility, was assessed before Christmas and the result was he is now considered only able to get standard rate for both, reviewed in 10 months. Have asked for the mandatory reconsideration forms, emailed our MP and fully expect to have to go to a Tribunal. As I was/am a Carer professionally, and our Daughter a qualified Nurse, we cope with Hubbys needs as he can't cope with going out and meeting people as in specialists. he has both physical and mental issues, and is often suicidal so we have to watch his moods. I need help and guidance please, have also complained about the assessor as she has reported things that didnt occur and made errors.

Yes we have got many members who have / are going through similar problems with there "pip'

Hi,You need to put the request in writing stating what you disagree with and where you think he should have scored those points and your reasons why. You need to put 2-3 examples of what happened the last time he attempted that activity for all descriptors that apply to him.As no one here knows how his conditions affect him then it's impossible to advise further. I'd advise getting some face to face advice from either welfare rights or a law centre near you.I'm not sure what your local MP can do at this point because they rarely understand the PIP descriptors.Most MR decision remain the same, so expect to take it to Tribunal. Appearing in person will give him the best chance of a decision in his favour. Good luck.
