Hi all,

so so last year I had a PIP assessment that resulted in me scoring zero points.

it’s at Tribuneral phase now.

However due to my condition deteriorating significantly I was advised by a benefits advisor to put in a new claim.

So on Wednesday I have my new assessment

i’m just wondering what happens if I get an award for the new one,  does this overrule the old one or cancel it out in anyway?

Thanks for any info.

Hello and welcome, your tribunal will may go ahead unless you inform them you no longer wish to Perdue the case, as there is a long wait for these time is on your side. As for your ne application for PIP this will should be treated as a new case and award.

    Thanks @wilko

my assessment this time around has come fast.

i only put the application in for my new claim towards the end of December.

i still wish to proceed with the Tribuneral as it’s a 5 month back pay.

Any new decision will overrule the Tribunal decision. Not always the best idea to start a new claim while waiting for a Tribunal.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
