I was told the decision maker would attempt to contact me up to 3 times while deciding the outcome of the MR is that correct ?

Hi,No, they don't usually ring you unless they have a question to ask. They just write to you with a decision.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

They may attempt to contact you if they need to clarify something. However this is unusual and most MR's remain unchanged from the original decision. You might contact the DM if there are any points that need clarifying or you have concerns about the assessment reportBe all you can be, make every day count. OK, thank you both.

If, as seems likely, my claim goes to tribunal would a report from an occupational therapist be any use ?
It states my medical diagnoses and also how they are affecting me in everyday tasks eg preparing food due to poor grip and dexterity.
This was obtained shortly after my mandatory reconsideration was submitted even though the problems and diagnoses were present long before my initial PIP assessment.
Isn't it a minefield. -
Yes, you can use that report for the Tribunal.

If you've already got it and haven't yet had your reconsideration outcome, why haven't you sent it in?

Thank goodness we seem to have moved away from what used to be said about further evidence - don't bother sending any evidence in as no one will look at it - best to hang on to it and give it to the Tribunal who will look at it.
I hope the DWP take it into account and make the right decision.

Telephoned DWP this morning and they said a decision has been made and a letter was sent last Friday.
They couldn't tell me what the decision is but did say to use the further evidence at a tribunal if needed.
I wish I had thought of sending the report earlier but like I said it's very complicated with all the form filling, deadlines, reports etc.
Oh well never mind, wait and see time now.
Thanks for your help everyone. -

It's a minefield this benefit claiming isn't it. 54 weeks and counting is ridiculous.
