Housing for the Disabled

Hi all,
Finding recently my support needs have changed and finding it difficult to meet my daily needs. Becoming in more pain and more regularly.
Have a gp appointment to get evidence for different housing and support to see this through.
I value my independence and honestly its hard for me to admit I am at this point. Hopefully after having operations I will not be like this forever.
Has anyone in the community ever had experience of this? I'm frightened what with it being the unknown. Also not looking forward to having more social workers in my life. Still, I need the support and have to learn to accept it and be grateful.
Would appreciate anyone sharing experiences, feelings and thoughts xxx

Just wanted to say well done on having the courage to fight for your needs, @happy91. Acceptance can feel really difficult but I really hope this benefits you in the long-run and gives you the support you need to enjoy life to the max!
