    They lie with everything.
Your answers to their questions thrt even lie about. The thing I don't get is the professional people are aware that they lie but they keep getting away with it , which puts people's lives at risk. Isn't lying a fraud because if we  were to lye we would be committing an offence.

Hello @Robinirish   Pleased to meet you welcome.

Thank you for joining and sharing. Sorry this has happened.

I am one of the team of community champions who guide, advise and help new members who join the forum.

As you have stated you rang up CAPITA. If not happy make a complaint on their website.

Have you rang up DWP to say what has happened to your appointment.?  It might be an idea to do this.  If you have not.

    They need to know .

To reassure why would you lose the car and independence.?  You have done nothing wrong.

I have done a lot of assessments the assessor that was supposed to assess myself.  One such assessment. Went home even though we arrived early notified the attendant at the desk.  My friend and me.

    No one told us.

Place was empty. So I my friend contacted the DWP on his mobile.  They contacted ATOS at the very centre where we were.

Some one came out of a room asking for ID and the rest is history.  After about two hours .  Appointment was an afternoon nearly late when we went in.

Please do not worry we are here to be supportive.

Please ask to rearrange you appointment and I hope you get the outcome you wish for.

    Please take care.

Hello @Robinirish Thank you for replying back to me.  I am sorry what has happened.

I know you have done nothing wrong.  Understand your concern about the losing of the car.  The main issues here are to explain your wife to insist on another appointment.

Also what might help is reading on our website the advice and information on assessments from other members.

The problem is if you constantly get anxiety and worry all the time then it causes you more harm and hurt.

Trust me I have anxiety mental health issues.

Please can I add just try to take deep breaths some relaxation techniques.  There are so many stories and rumour about assessments . What is important is yours focus be honest and truthful.

I have many experiences of them.

Understand you could might lose your car.  Well if you did .What would happen ?  The issues are you need then to appeal?  We will as a community take you through it all if that happens.

If that is not something you wish to proceed with.  You might not wish to.  Think about how often do you use the car. Costs, fuel, blue badge other issues with the car.  What happens then?

I lost my car after twenty years driving, choose not to appeal because had other options. Scheme providers Motability have a  informative guide.

If you been on the scheme like me a while financial incentives.  Took the money.

Remember this is all conjecture wait and see.  I would share what I am doing.  I am partial deafness have mobility issues trouble walking. To give you further reassurance.

First do a lot on line, shopping,, prescriptions.  All delivered.  Signed up to TESCO, Amazon,  WHICH pay monthly fee not a lot worth it every penny.   Plus banking.

Second a lot of taxi firms attuned to PIP my estate where I live decimated by PIP no cars.

Hospital, Doctors other appointments visits combined with bank or Post Office for money.

Send a text to taxi firms all high tech to book taxi.  Send you reply by text to book you in.

Costs cheaper than you think.  Against all the time and costs of fuel.  Car parking fees none of that.

So there you are.  Yes it is handy to have the car and I had a lot of mental health issues over it but I do not miss it.

Understand also am 55 this year.  Seen many of my friends on the community get their car and then lose it again and reapply lose it again.

What is important is your mental wellbeing and health. You are a valued member of the community.

Please take care and just try to get another appointment.

Another suggestion I have is to complain to your MP.  There need to know what is happening to our community.  I know many members have done so before.

Please keep in touch and pleasure to talk to you.

Hi @Robinirish, I joined the Scope team after your last post so have just been reading through!
Thank you for updating us all. I'm sorry that Capita haven't been in touch with you and sorted the issue, it must be very stressful not knowing what's going on. Have you tried contacting them again? Did you ever put in a complaint?
