    Hi,

When claiming Carers allowance and UC, the carers allowance is deducted £1 for £1 from the UC. Carers allowance pay you separately. Is there carers allowance being deducted from your UC payments?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Carer allowance isn't backdated because it's deducted £1 for £1 from your UC payment, this means you're already receiving payment in with your UC payment if it's not deducted.
