His daughter of 54 lives with him she is unwell too and not working he needs help with lots of things and his health is deteriorating. Can he claim d l a or p I p ?
He has mobility problems is out of breath easily and he has an irregular heartbeat .
Any advice welcome .

Hi,DLA no longer exists, PIP has replaced it. As he is over the age of 65 he won't be able to claim it. Attendance Allowance maybe possible if he needs supervision/care through out the day or night but there's no mobility part to this. For anything else then i'd advise him to visit an advice agency near him for a full benefits check because pension credit maybe possible but that will depend on how much state pension he receives.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Hi
He should contact AgeUK and ask for a benefits review for himself and daughter.
Hope this helps. -
I phoned age Uk after checking the gov website and seeing that he couldn’t get p I p the advisor will ring me to make an appt for him to go get the advise and support he needs (I got the impression she ll help him claim what he’s entitled to ) which will be great , thanks for ur advice on here as ever ur all invaluable .
