hi! Has anyone experienced this before? I’m on IR ESA and about to receive 3 months notice pay and I’ve finally been dismissed from my job due to ill health. Do I phone DWP to tell them and how does it affect my ESA? Thank you!

Hello @littlebutton1001, I'm sorry no one has been able to help you with this yet. Have you managed to find the answer?
I'm not entirely sure of the answer, but I would imagine you need to let them know. @poppy123456 I don't suppose you have any ideas do you?Community Manager

Hi,It depends what you're receiving this money for.V4049 Payments made as a result of employment ending do not affect ESA
V4075 Any holiday pay that is payable within four weeks of the date employment ended, or was interrupted, should be treated as earnings for ESA
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
That’s brilliant thank you! I really appreciate it! Do you think this is the same for both types of esa? As I’m receiving income based.
-
It maybe different for Income Related ESA but i can't find anything that says anything for sure.
