Sweating Feet in splints

Hi, My daughter Olivia has Cerebral Palsy, she is age 4. She wears a AFO on her left leg at night time and has them on both legs during the day. In the morning, after wearing her splint all night, her sock is soaked and drenched with sweat. I do use the cotton socks and they have helped, but only marginally. As a result, her feet are dry and cracking, her toenails are hardened and getting deformed. We do put a moisturiser on her feet every night. I have mentioned it to her neurologist and brought her to my GP but they have not advised anything. Are there any particular brand of socks anyone would recommend? Ones to wear with splints? They have to be long and it would be a bonus for her if they were pretty! I feel that long-term the sweating will really damage her nailbed and she will be left with permanently deformed toes. And what girl wants that! Any help is appreciated.
