Hi all congrats on getting your dla/pip put back into motion I had to wait 1 and a half years to get a tribunal after they stopped my award. I am deaf and partially blind in one eye but I won my case but was told over the phone it can take up to 3 months to get my backdated money and 4 weeks to get my first payment. My tribunal was on the 20th of June 2019. Anybody got any suggestions thanks

Hi @liamwilson1985 and a warm welcome to the community! That's great news about your tribunal! Four weeks would take you to the 18th July so you shouldn't have much longer to wait until the first payment! If you haven't heard anything a few days after that then you could ring up :)

    I hope this helps!

    HI,

    Great news.

It can take 8 weeks to receive backdated money owed and about the same time to put your award into payment.

They have 1 month from the date of the decision to request the statement of reasons. If they request this they will contact you but requesting it can delay receiving the backdated money.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
