Hi,Looking back on your previous thread here https://community.scope.org.uk/discussion/61491/severe-disability-premium#latestI see you live with your sister, if you do then you won't be claiming the SDP because i see she doesn't claim a qualifying benefit. If you need to claim for help with your rent then yes you'll need to claim UC.I also totally agree with @Hart86 not everyone is worse off when claiming UC.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -

Yes, eventually but this is quite some time away, unless you live in Harrogate which is the pilot area for up to 10,000 people to be moved across. A change of circumstances can prompt a move too because all areas are now a full UC area. The only ones that can't claim UC right now are those currently claiming Severe disability premium and this applies to them until January 2021.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I’ve asked before, somewhere along the line I was told I had to transfer from UC to ESA. I am Appealing ESA although it appears that I am probably on a hiding to nothing despite supplying 297 pages of Evidence. Along the way, and I can’t recall, I must have agreed to my “Claimant Commitments”. Now as my health is worsening I can’t carry out any Commitments, I still supply the Fit Notes, see my Dr every 4 weeks as she asks, Work Coach asks for the Fit Note and writes “Fit Note Accepted”. I’ve supplied my Dr’s Letter and my Specialist’s Letter (2 pages). If I am injured whilst, say, attending an interview because I am forced to, I have an Epileptic Fit (stress is a trigger) I’m knocked down by a car and killed, do my family sue CAPITA or/and the DWP?

Hi @michfinch,
You said that you are appealing your ESA and that you are currently getting UC. You also said that you are sending in Fit notes. Have you been placed in the Limited Capability for Work-Related Activity group? This is the equivalent to the Support Group on the old ESA. If you are in this group you should not be required to look for work.
If you have not been placed in that group it might be worth talking to your work coach about this, or about changing your claimant commitment while you are sending in Fit notes. They have the discretion to suspend your commitments.Joanne
