Hi,You will only receive SDP during that time if you were claiming a qualifying benefit such as PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care. If you weren't claiming any of those at any time during the dates in the letter then you won't be entitled to the SDP.If you were claiming a qualifying benefit during those times you must have also lived alone or classed as living alone and no one must have claimed carers allowance for looking after you.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi Poppy123456 thanks for the reply Yes I was claiming DLA and now pip daily living and also living alone and nobody claiming Carers Allowance? Many thanks

Once a decision's been made on the ESA3 form and you're entitled to the Income Related top up then ring ESA to make a claim for the backdated SDP.

Hi one more thing so backdated SDP don’t automatically get worked out when they work out if I get the income related top up payment esa ? Regards

You're welcome. It may not be no because of the criteria, it's not automatically paid.
