Giff Gaff scam

If like me your network provider is Giff Gaff and you are contacted out of the blue by them asking if you have othorised for your phoned number to be changed....  DON'T reply.
Contact your bank instead. 
I replied and had almost £3000 talken out of my Santander account.
I'm pretty sure I'll get it back.  What mad day though ?

    Hi @Peter12345 have you reported the scam to giffgaff? Also if you haven't done so already change your giffgaff password, and on any other sites that you use which may have the same password.

    Hiya and thanks to all, 
      Giffgaff and Santander were informed within 3 hours of the scam.

    From what I can gather the scam started at around 10:30am and then by the
    time I got to the bank ( couldn't call as they'd hyjacked my phone number too)
    and spoke to the fraud dept on the phone there, the said scamers had
    taken £ 2919 out of my account within 4 hours. 

    I am pretty certain I'll get the money back.  

    I am pretty pragmatic so apart from the hassle it not an issue.
